Would it be appropriate to send my boyfriend's mom a Mother's Day card?

My boyfriend and I have been dating for a year and a half. His mother has been really good to me. Taking me out to eat, giving me gifts, etc. She really is a good woman. Do you think it would be OK to send her a Mother's Day card? Just a simple card that says "Happy Mother's Day." I don't want to freak her out or anything, but I just wanted to let her know she is a great mom and thank her for things she's done for me. Thank you so much in advance.

I am going to give my boyfriends mother one too! If you feel comfortable enough giving her one, then it is okay. Since she has been good to you and all that jazz, it, I'm sure, would mean alot to her to receive a thoughtful card from you.



That is really sweet of you, and I'm also sure your boyfriend will appreciate the kindness to his mom, too.

Reply:What a sweet thing to do. I've sent people who were special to me Mother's Day cards for various reasons. Just write in the card what you did here about how you want to thank her for the things she's done for you and what a wonderful person you think she is.

Reply:A card will be lovely. Its not like your calling her mom. You are simply acknowledging the fact that she is a mom and wishing her a happy mother's day. Should be fine. It wont look good if you dont atleast say happy mothers day since you've been going out with the guy for over a year and his mom has spent time with you.
