What is a nice craft my son can make for his grandmothers for Mother's Day?

My son is 14 months, so obviously I would be helping him. But I want the gifts to be from him rather than sending them something we bought. Any creative ideas out there other than a card or flower pot?

What is a nice craft my son can make for his grandmothers for Mother's Day?
My nephews both made impressions of their hands and feet in clay when they were about that age which was a wonderful gift. They used the air dry clay and pressed their little hands and feet into a mound of it. I sealed them with polyurethane and placed them in my garden. Now one is in Grad school and the other is a Marine in Iraq, so I treasure those thoughtful "garden stones" now more than ever. You can find that air dry kind of clay at Michaels craft store and I'm sure his grannies will love it as much as I did.
Reply:Make stationary with little photos of him running down the side, or a stepping stone for her garden. I did the stepping stone with my kids when they were little...you can get the kit at most craft stores. I put their hands and foot prints on the stone, and wrote Grandma across the top. Both Grandmas still have these in their gardens eight years later, and they love them!
Reply:I would take one of your favorite photos of him.and make a homemade picture frame to put it in for a gift.

for example if your grandparents enjoy the beach.then gather some sea shells and glue them to a photo fram and other things you might want to add.that you know they enjoy.good luck and happy mother,s day.
