Out with the same old, same old can we please have something new for Mothers Day??

And I'm not trying to be or sound or be ungrateful butI speak not only on behalf of myself but my friends and perhaps other moms who are tired of getting a sweater that looks like it came from the Salvation Army, or things that have no real thought process or meaning. Even if it's only a card, I believe one that is beautiful can even be hand-written with your own art, including pictures would mean so much more to us, truly. Even sometimes, things with a little more "bling-bling" to them are cool .

Just remember this, even though we are moms, we're not frumpy nor old and today's mom may even like sometthing with a bit more flare or though-inspiredness behind it.

Out with the same old, same old can we please have something new for Mothers Day??
I'm always pleased with what my kids get me. My son only gets me a card but it is from his heart, my daughter insists on getting me gifts, most of which I don't need or use. A card would be fine with me but if she wants to get gifts at least they come from her heart and I am glad for the thoughtfulness she put into going out and finding what she considers the perfect gift. I'm sorry you are not pleased with what you get. I'm just glad my kids are healthy and if they didn't get me anything, just wished me a Happy Mother's Day I would still be pleased. I hope you get what you want this year.
Reply:I don't ask or expect any thing from my kids on mother's day. Just being together as family and sitting down together talking is enough for me. I was blessed when I had them and that is all I can ask for. They have been grateful their whole lives and that is enough for me. No gift, money, or card will last as long as memories.
Reply:I think cleaning moms house or making her breakfast and cleaning the kitchen . How about taking her out for the day or getting her a manicure and pedicure. Most women like to pick their own clothes. Most just want a little pampering on that day. Do something for her only.
Reply:I like to spend quality time with my mom on Mother's Day, I don't have to have a special time or day to say how much I love her, I do it everytime I talk to her. I like to take her to brunch and go get our hair done, stuff I also did with my grandmother, times that I treasure. The mistake some people make is waiting to show their appreciation for their mother on that one day in May, you should show her all the time how much she means to you.
