What do you think of this Mother’s Day card? Would you give it to your mom?

Using actual R%26amp;S quotes, I have written this lovely Mother’s Day card for Protestants:

Dear Mom,

You are nothing more than a tool that was used to bring me into the world. Thank you for being only a container for me. Always remember that you have been just a package.

Love,

(insert name)

Good point -- you can also add to the end, "And now, Mom, you're just a dead person -- so nobody, not even me, should be talking to you right now."

You've done a wonderful job of highlighting how dismissive some Protestants are of Mary -- even to the point of disparaging her.

How any self-professed Christian can hold such a dismissive (even disrepectful) attitude toward Christ's own mother is beyond me. It's absolutely mind-boggling.

.
Reply:Point well made, what comes to mind is this if you do not love the Mother how can you love the Son?

Protestants have distanced themselves from the Blessed Mother so much that they can only pretend to have feelings for Her, and yet She is the Mother of all humanity, what an imsult to go on freely offending Mary, the gem in the crown of all His creative work.

God bless.
Reply:seems like this is based on comments about the blessed mother. what is so hard about the catholic perspective that protestants refuse to "circumcise their hearts" to the fullness of truth. i wonder how many actually know the proper catholic teaching or run their mouths based on what a non catholic has told them.
Reply:I would totally give that to my mom.

Of course, I would have to explain it and then she would laugh hysterically.

I would probably have to give her a nice gift to make up for it though. Oh, and we're not Christian - that probably makes a difference.
Reply:I think that this year I will just have a glass of wine in honor of her memory. Then I will go with my husband to bring HIS mother a present -- I don't do cards....
Reply:Thank you for showing us so clearly just how frequently and tragically our brothers and sisters trample on the mother of Jesus thoughtlessly and wrecklessly. The proof is in the pudding!

Thank you, Meg. *Really*, thank you.
Reply:Way to go, Meg!!!

(I'm smiling).

Take that, you lizards!!
Reply:I was adopted so it wouldn't apply. I'm also not christian so it wouldn't have been written with my mother in mind.

Isn't it wonderful how "god" uses 14 year old girls?
Reply:It's very Christian.
Reply:absolutely not!!!
Reply:Thank you for this. Hopefully it will open some eyes
Reply:Disturbing. No, I don't think I would.
Reply:If my mom were alive, she'd see the humor in it.
Reply:NOOOO im srry but it is kinda weird and mayb u shud talk about how much u like her not that she is a tool sry
Reply:You've got one heck of a point there ;)
Reply:cool

i like it

(but i like nails in my eyes ..so...)
Reply:its a little sick
Reply:My mom would love it.

How much?
Reply:i really guess it depends... on ur point of view... sorry for not being much of a help
Reply:Jesus Meg, you don't have to sugar coat it. Just tell her how you feel.
Reply:Who said the folks who answered with these responses are Protestants?
Reply:I guess you have a big problem!!! idiotic for sure!
