Here's one that I hope you like. . . . .
Mom , you know it's true what they say..... 'There's no place like home" .
That's because of all YOU do .
You've always been there whether I needed someone to support me in my decisions or to share in my triumphs.. . . .
To encourage me when I wasn't giving my best or to dry my tears when I'd given all I could, yet still lost .
so for me, 'home' has come to mean so much more than a place to live. . ..it's a place of warmth and caring . Because of YOU, 'home' is another word for Love .
And Mother's Day is the perfect time to tell you that the reason 'there's no place like home' is because there's no Mom in the world as wonderful as you !!
. . . . . . . . . .Happy Mother's Day !!
I'd Love to read your creations !!
Who Can Write The Best Mother's Day Card ?

Reply:thank you. i thought it made a meaningful statement that any mother would hold deep in their heart. Report Abuse
Reply:Oh I love it.
And you want me to even try and post something that comes close. I need at least a good 24 hours. ;)
I like the idea of doing a homemade card where I color pictures on the front with crayons. I'd say something witty about my childhood. I think my mom would get a big kick out of it. She used to put all my pics on the fridge. :o)
Reply:Mothers day is always very difficult for me. Selecting a card and reading about all those "ideal" mothers... The mother that mine never really was. It's a challenge to find or write something sincere. I don't really look forward to this time of year.
Reply:I get mine from Hallmark.
Reply:write your own
and make it up on the computer.
I go for the funny ones.
If I'm going to be sentimental,
I would do it myself.
Reply:Dear mom,
thanks for not making dad wear a connie and having me.
Reply:YOU'RE HIRED TO WRITE ONE FOR MY MOTHER!!!
Start thinking....cause you only have a few days left and I have to mail it to her!
Usually she get flowers and chocolate from me....with a quick phone call...
'Hi Ma....Happy Mother's Day!'
Reply:Here's something creative that will be appreciated and you will have fun doing:
Make up a crossword puzzle and have all the hints be personal inside moments and jokes that only you two would know about. Put it on a poster board and add some clipart and some pictures to it!
The crossword puzzle could be time consuming and a bit frustrating ... you could do the same idea with a WORDSEARCH or WORDFIND puzzle.
Put your computer skills to work! Use Excel, get clipart from Yahoo Images Search, copy them, and reformat them, use a gluestick to put on posterboard.
Use graph paper, and pictures from magazines if you are not as good on the computer, and it will give it a homemade feeling.
This is a really beautiful poem too!
Women have strengths that amaze us.
They carry children, they carry hardships, they carry burdens but they hold happiness, love and joy.
They smile when they want to scream.
They sing when they want to cry.
They cry when they are happy and laugh when they are nervous.
They fight for what they believe in.
They stand up for injustice.
They don't take "no" for an answer when they believe there is a better solution.
They go without new shoes so their children can have them.
They go to the doctor with a frightened friend.
They love unconditionally.
They cry when their children excel and cheer when their friends get awards.
They are happy when they hear about a birth or a new marriage. Their hearts break when a friend dies.
They have sorrow at the loss of a family member, yet they are strong when they think there is no strength left.
They know that a hug and a kiss can heal a broken heart.
Women come in all sizes, in all colors and shapes.
They'll drive, fly, walk, run or e-mail you to show how much they care about you.
The heart of a woman is what makes the world spin!
Women do more than just give birth.
They bring joy and hope.
They give compassion and ideals.
They give moral support to their family and friends.
Women have a lot to say and a lot to give.
