What did you get for your firt "mothers day"?

All I got was a last minute card, I was hoping for something special, seeing as it is my first. Oh well, thats men for you!! What did your partner do for you on your first mothers day?

What did you get for your firt "mothers day"?
my boyfriend and his daughter got me a dozen roses.
Reply:He made me a card on the computer with a picture of my daughter in it. I liked it, since it was my first mother's day :) His heart was really in the right place.



From my Sis in Law I got the coolest thing, I wanted to share... She had my daughter put her handprint on a paper, and wrote a poem... then laminated it. I still have it and still love it!

I got a lovely card that says 'on your very first mothers day', a balloon with 'i love you mum' on it, a badge with 'best mum in the world on it' and a lovely forever friends mug that says 'to a special mum'. I'm soo chuffed with it!!!!
Reply:i got a mummy card and flowers for my 1st. but dont get upset about it wait till your little one gets bigger and makes u a card it beats any card from a shop. as for your partner being at his mums i can see u want to feel special today but its his mums mothers day u arnt his mum, sadly u will have to wait till your little one get bigger.
Reply:For my first Mother's Day, my husband bought me a gold chain necklace with a charm holder. He then wrapped up and little gold "boy" charm with my son's birthstone as the head and signed it from my son (who was 7 months old).



Since then, it has become a tradition, every time we have a baby, the following Mother's Day the baby gives me his or her charm for my necklace.



Very sweet and sentimental.

Reply:I got a card from my little girl and one off my hubby, she gave me a big kiss before giving it to me but when i tried to take it from her she wrestled it off me and ripped it open herself lol



I didn't get any presents but he works all week so doesn't get chance, although he did say he has something planned for next week.

Reply:Its my first Mothers Day also today my little girl was born on 3rd Feb My Husband got me. a new Mobile, A mum ring and a Book that I wanted so I got quite alot and we spent less on our mums this year but they understand with a newborn .

Reply:My wife got a trip to the hospital with me and my son. He wasn't very old at the time and he had a very high fever. He had a whole load of tests done and they couldn't find anything wrong. They said it was viral and it would have to pass on its own. Needless to say she had a thrilling first mothers day. After he was better I took her to a day spa and a fancy dinner at a very high class restaurant in our town.

and my partner made me a card with my daughter (6 MO) with her foot print on the inside! :) was lovely!

and getting a day at a spa! they are both u asleep now so thats a bonus!!!

Reply:its also my 1st mothers day, babies dad got me nothing, but my mum got me a big teddy with its arms out wide and it says on bears tshirt i love you this much, sooooo sweet and a lovely card, she got it for my son to give to me hes nearly 4 months. dad should of done it though,but im glad i didnt get forgotten.
Reply:I got an alice in wonderland snowglobe that i wanted when I was a kid.. this year I got a last minute card... its my second mothers day and I have been alone all day with my daughter and he has been out messing with his damn car...
Reply:hi i got a big card signed (scribbled by my 10mth old daughter) a bunch of flowers and a cup saying i love mummy on it and a big kiss from her which was the best present of them all :)

But it gets much better as the kids get older, and they make you stuff at school. My girl made me a flower that had written on it 'I love mummy because she cooks me yummy dinner'. It meant a lot to me cos I try to get my kids to eat really healthy food.
Reply:To add on to Francis P's answer..its my hubby..lol..We got woke at 3 in the morning with our son..who was 3 days shy of 2 months old..He was sleeping through the night..So when I heard the cry..I knew something was wrong..I went to check on him..and he was burning up..Had a fever of 103.4..And we gave him tylenol..and rushed to the hospital..where they made us wait in the waiting room for almost 5 hours...And when we got to go back..(to a bed in the hallway)..They started doing test...First they had to get an IV in him..which took 2 tries..and the 3rd one got it..So that was with 3 nurses around us...I was pinned against the wall..my son between my legs screaming his head off..I was crying...and hubby was holding on to me..I was trapped..I couldn't get out..and when they got done with that...they did a urine, blood, stool, and nasal cutlures...THEN they did a spinal tap..I wasn't allowed in the room...So that was 4 needle pokes in his back...THEN..they did x-rays...and still NOTHING..They ended up giving him an antibiotic in his IV And they still sent us home saying he had a virus...Well if he had a virus...The antibiotic..wouldn't have worked..I believe he had a very severe ear infection..And everyday for 2 days later..he had to go to the dr to get another shot of the antibiotic..THEN...On his 2 month bday..He got his shots...Poor thing..it was BAD..Then every about 3 weeks until he was a lil over 7 months old..he got a high fever..And they didn't "catch an ear infection until he was 8 1/2 months old...And he also got croup right after that..and then he got a head cold..and now at almost a year old...he is healthy as can be...I can't wait for this mothers day...



And Francis P..Did take me to the spa, a very romantic dinner, and he also got me a laptop for my bday...My bday was almost a month after mothers day..and our anniversary was a week after my bday...
Reply:absolutly nothing, he didn t even realise it s mothers day today, but i don t really care i just spent the day with my daughter instead.
Reply:Last Mother's Day (it is in May here) I was still a fairly new Mom to our 2 month old. My husband bought me a nice cozy bathrobe for me to throw on when I needed to nurse the baby in the middle of the night, which I loved. He also took me on a little shopping spree so I could get myself some new clothes and feel pampered because everything had been about the baby!
