Me and my sisters made my mom cards, and then we did all the house work, and later on today we are taking her to Dairy Queen.

POLL: What Did You GEt Your Mom For Mothers Day????
My mom died a few years ago. You and your sisters are very special to do all that for your mom. I'm sure she appreciates it very much. I have two teenage sons and one of them just told me "Happy Mother's Day" on his way to work. The other one seems to have forgotten. )= My husband never stressed holidays and gift giving with them. That was always up to me. I tried, but I guess his influence won out. My family was the opposite. Holidays and birthdays and the like were a big deal and everyone was given a lot of attention on their big day.

edit - Guess what? My husband told me "Happy Mother's Day," too, before he left for work. He had to work 2 - 12 hr. shifts this weekend so I know he's tired. He said he wanted to take us to a nice restaurant sometime in the next couple of weeks. I think he really is trying to do better. (=

Had a funny card (I hate mushy-sugary sweet cards!) with perfume my hubby sent her from Iraq, some of her favorite stuff from Bath and Bodyworks, some candy and a Gift Card! Happy Mom's day ya'll !!! :)
