Mothers day....what should I do?

Its Mothers day on Sunday and I love my mum to bits. Only problem is I'm skint and can't even afford to buy her a card. I would feel really bad not giving her anything but I don't know what I should do. PLEASE help me!!!

Mothers day....what should I do?
Why don't you make her a card. Although it sounds cheesy, it really is the thought that counts. I make my mum a card every year and she says that she would much rather this than a bought one, as it shows that you have really put some effort into it.

Don't worry about making it fancy, just do what you feel like. If you want to give her something I normally make some little cakes or something as well, with whatever I have in the house. She'll appreciate anything you do because you have used your time to do it.
Reply:Just love her like you do every day of your life.
Reply:tis easy wake her up about nine with a nice cup of tea or coffee and a small gift it doesnt have to be bought from the shops ya mum would love something that came from your heart so either make her a cake or ask a neighbour if u can pick some of there flowers for her
Reply:Make her a card with a very special message inside.

Write her a peom.

Cook her dinner

Bake her some biscuits or cakes.

gd luck xx
Reply:Why don't you make your mum something, make her a card, and write her a poem or note in it telling her how much she means to you. You could even maybe make her a cake, as that is more personal and it shows that you care
Reply:im in your situation but luckily i have loads and loads of cake making ingrediants in the house, so this afternoon im baking her a cake and taking it round tomorrow when i go round for dinner! :)

can you afford to buy anything to make her a cake or anything??

you could write her a letter telling her how grateful you are to her, write her a poem, something nice like that :)

it doesnt have to be a big gesture, just something simple! :)
Reply:then, just a kiss and hug,and wish the best for your mother.

ask god to give your mother long long long life and health.

just in case if you have a printer you can create something and give it to your mum.

god bless you , i wish i was close to you ,to help you

with this.
Reply:As you are broke, why not make her a breakfast, maybe clean the house up and after lunch go for a walk just make it you two together and tell her how much you love her.
Reply:Thank Her for Giving you Life. (And A Big Hug).
Reply:You should look into Wallpaper mag or Ready Made(preferred) ! They tell you how to make perfect things with objects you found in the trash or recycle bin !
Reply:Make her a nice dinner x
Reply:it orders a message to the living creature. made for a speaker in a sound car, with musics also telling the love that feels for them. they go to love very
Reply:Offer to do the housework for her!!! Lots of sweet things to say to your mum but actions speak louder than words!!
Reply:Take over the things she does, cook, clean, iron etc, make sure she does jack sh1t, you do them instead!

Wish my boys would do this 2moz, cannot see it myself tho:(
Reply:my son made me this in school the other day , why dont you print it out .

if all mothers in the world

were cooked inside a pot

and all of the ingredients

were mixed about alot

im sure there would be a recipe

to please more than a few

but the one thing id come up with

is the one that made me - you

a pinch or two of kindness

a dash of loving care

a sprinkle of unselfishness

a drop of being fair

heavy dose of tenderness

a healty slice of love

a little touch of worry

and faith in god above

a little hint of discipline

a grain or two of hurt

a tablespoon ok kisses

and cuddles for desert

an extra share of patience

and tender loving care

if you ask about real happiness

i guess ive had my share

i really love you mum

without you lifes unreal

i hope this little recipe

will show you how i feel

so lots of love on mothers day

i hope this makes you see

that as far as i am concerned

you re the only girl for me .

says it all dont you think .
Reply:you can give her a kiss/hug with matching fresh flowers.
Reply:I agree with the others. A handmade card is a lovely thing, and so if you and your mum love each other she'll love that you spent time making something. And to go round and see her will be lovely, and be attentive - offer to cut the grass or take the recycling down the road, or something useful. Wash her car, or something similar that she finds a chore.
Reply:give her your time and a nice note. next year save some money for gift/card, buy early and present gift on m-day.
Reply:show her how much you love here by cooking 4 here.
Reply:Make her a card and put an 'IOU something very special' in it - as a promise of a treat when you can afford it. I'm sure she'll understand (and if you were my daughter I would rather have you buy food for yourself, than waste money on a card for me - after all, I'm sure she loves you as much as you love her!).
Reply:Dear User,

I feel you should make her something and not buy her something. It's much more personel and she'll epreciate it much more, i think. Do something with craft, make her a card with a nice letter ect. Hope I helped you a lot.

Regards,

Shaggy!
Reply:take a large piece of paper(A3) and write there with big letters what do you really feel for your mother... make even some nice drawing or put some photos with you and her..

sometimes gifts like that one are more valuable than anything else !

good luck !
Reply:offer her your time.

painting and decorating something or other or take her out somewhere ....etc
Reply:TO A LL SELF SERVING TOSSERS LIKE YOUR SELVES

HAPPY TOSSERS DAY.
Reply:ask ur father to buy 2 movie tickets for the evening for him and mother.when theyre away, prepare a beautiful dinner.

im sure ur father will b cooprative enough
Reply:You could make her a card, and make her breakfast in bed. Maybe write her a song e.t.c
Reply:Make sure she spends the day as relaxed as possible, make sure you do all the things for her that she usually does for you, whatever they are, like getting your breakfast, doing the chores, making sure you have enough clothes laundered, making her tea or coffee, constantly picking up after everyone in the household, getting lunch and dinner together, cleaning up afterwards and washing up, figuring out what food needs to go on the shopping list. I'm not kidding, she will feel really appreciated if you do this for her, all day. You will also have much more of an idea just how hard she works to keep you fed, clothed and happy, and you will appreciate her more. To do all these things all day, will show her that it is more than just a gesture from you, that you care that she has a great mothers day. I am sure it will bring you closer as you will gain more of an understanding of what she does, and she will feel very blessed knowing her child cares so much and doesn't take her for granted. Then at the end of the day, if you still have the energy to walk and talk, tell her that you realise how hard she works, and that seeing as you are more than capable of helping out, from now on, you are gonna help out a little more, and mean it, she really will be in seventh heaven.

I'm not suggesting you laze around and do nothing for your mum, its clear you adore her, I'm just suggesting that for one day, you step in to her shoes, so that she can step out of them and truly relax, I think it would be a great gift, in so many ways and on so many levels and that you will both learn more about eath other. Your mother is lucky having a child who thinks so much of her and is willing to show her. I hope you enjoy your day, whatever you end up doing, as a mother, knowing my daughter has nothing to give me tomorrow, no money or anything, I know, even though she is only 8, that she will do all she can to make sure I don't have to lift a finger. It really makes me feel very loved. Have fun.
Reply:Cook her a meal.
Reply:clean her house , wash her car,
Reply:like you only had all year to plan for this--and you had no idea it was coming up! borrow some money and take her out! bet you'll have $ for that new guy's birthday though, right?

home made cards are cute if you're 4 years old. homemade cards spell one thing 'cheap.'

the next time you need cash from her--she should make you some home made money.
Reply:My dear, Mothers' Day is on 2nd Sunday of May. Which calendar are you looking at? Have you consider designing a card for her? It shows your sincerity and I'm sure she'll treasured it.
