A hand made mother's day card.
like the kind of card you give your mom when you're in elementry school.
My mom has a fantastic sense of humor.
good Idea?
I'm sixteen, so would it be tacky for mother's day to give my mother...?
great idea!..that would just be soooo sweet
Reply:I think its a really good idea. Especially if she has a good sense of humor. She will also probably find it sweet that you took the time to make it....even its just because you can't afford a card ;P
Reply:i love that idea
Reply:brilliant shell like that, its different.
Reply:That's a terrific gift! That's what mother's love the best! Great idea! Have fun!
Reply:i think she would love that, i think hand made cards are always better then store bought ones, store bought ones are just easy. you should make it for her definatly!
Reply:I would love it if my 14-year old would hand-make me a card for mother's day.
so much more meaningful and personal - but I will love any card she chooses, though!
Happy Mother's day to you and your mom!
Reply:Great idea--she will love it.
You should write a poem to go inside, and maybe give it to her with a macaroni necklace or some other "elementary" craft.
But maybe also get her a "real" gift. Or make her a "real" gift, like decorate a picture frame or something like that.
Reply:I make my mom's mother's day cards, and I'm now 25. I think there's something special about home made, rather than commercially produced cards.
Go ahead, make that card with pride :)
Reply:WELL ITLL MEAN MORE TO HER GOOD LUCK
Reply:it will show you put time in it because you love her and it's the thought that counts
Reply:Yes, yes, and YES!!! I am the mother of a 25 year old and an 11 year old. I can tell you, the store bought cards eventually end up in the trash. Handmade anything goes in the "special things I want to keep" drawer.
Reply:I can't imagine any mother who doesn't want her kids to stay little a while longer, so reminding her that you are still her little girl by making her card is a GREAT idea...if you were my daughter, I'd LOVE it!
Reply:no i dont think it would be tacky at all moms think its sweet that you made something and plus you dont have to spend money lol ;-p
Reply:It doesn't matter what the card is made of a hand made one would probably mean more to her than a store bought one especially since you are 16 if you have the money maybe a rose or a coupon for her to cash in....ex...you cook dinner one night or you clean her room one night..or something else that you wouldn't normally do nice for her that she can cash in at anytime.
Reply:that sounds really good.
i think i might just take that idea. thanks!
Reply:any age you are, your mom still thinks of you as her baby, so go ahead, make a card!
Reply:sweetie, i'm 19 almost 20 and i'm doing the exact same thing for my mom, glitter maccaroni and finger paint included! my mom has a great sense of humor too, but i know how she is. she would much rather have a card made by me then something i picked out at a store. it means more to her that i took time and did it just for her instead of a mass produced fake w/ just my name on it. i think most moms love stuff like that no matter how old you are, i know that when my kids get older (one is 2 years and the other still in utero) that i would love something like that over jewels or flowers even if they were 30!!!
Reply:yes do that!! moms gonna love it and think its adorable
Reply:lol
put a picture from when u were in elementary on it!
Reply:Not tacky at all! I have a sixteen year old son and I asked him to write me a poem for Mother's Day. I hope I get it.
Reply:no a lot of mothers like the idea of you going through the process of making one instead of just going to the store and buying one anyway.
Reply:I would it sweet, a little immature but sweet. You could make her a collage, with pictures of when you and any other siblings were little, add a sweet poem about how great she is and voila. A personal keepsake that she will love.
Reply:If your mom is like mine. she likes everything home made. because as she says it has more meaning and thought into it. I think its a great idea! SHE"LL LOVE IT!!
Reply:yea its a good idea im 17 and do that my mom loves it cause she knows i put some thought into it
Reply:Dont see why not....If you have that kind of relationship where buying a store bought card that you took all of 30 seconds to buy and that she will eventually throw in a shoe box or even just throw away, I would go for it. I've always enjoyed them more. Especially if they require thought and creativity.
Reply:no it would not be a bad idea because the card you make your self would more to her then you would think it would trust i know i am a mom ,make it from the heart and i amsure she"ll love it
Reply:youre never too old for a home made card!!!!! noodles add a nice touch too!!!
Reply:Great idea! Moms love homemade items.
Reply:very tacky, girl u is 16 you know you can afford at least a card! go to hallmark they now have cards with songs!!!!!!!!!? ? ?
