Who else feels this is more of a hinderence than anything else?
In times when children are being told they can't make Fathers/Mother's Day cards in school because some people have 2 mums or 2 dads...to sensoring other things so other religions/races don't get offended. I think it SUCKS!
I mean I am Catholic and I have no problem with people practicing their faith but this is going to be HELL! (hahaha.)
And now with the volunteers with their new powers (that in itself is ridiculous) and the $5,500 fine for being "annoying".
Your thoughts?
How do people feel about World Youth Day (particularly those in Sydney who it will effect)?
Me, I live in the centre of Sydney, all of us inner city people have nicknamed this interruption "The Micks Mardi Gras".
I can't wait to watch Border Patrol after this event to see who get's busted at Sydney airport.
Reply:I think it sucks, and I think Jesus would agree.
Seriously, the traffic is already bad enough without the major city streets being shut down.
The public transport system is already flooded, without 20,000 extra people.
As for the $5,500 fine for people who are being annoying...I'm for it... as long as they fine every f'ing ****** who is taking part in world youth day, cause to be fair... they are the annoyance.
So come on all you World-Youth-Day-ians... ask yourself this.. What Would Jesus Do? The answer? Nothing! He's dead, and you should all die too! Ha! Like.. metaphorically.
Peace,
Mikey
Reply:i really cant believe it, i need to go into the city during the holidays to get some culture ( i live in mona vale full of bogans) but now i am going to run into all these crazy wyd people! ahha i am going on thrusday a few days before it all starts! but closing the rail is stupid now the buses are going to be completely overflowing putting stress on places like the lower northern beaches who have to catch buses because we dont even have trains. THE SYSTEM IS CORRUPT
Reply:i am going to it, i have been excited about it since last yeearr! i went to the welcome of the cross and icon at the darling harbour, and i cant wait for the big week, im going with my school, and its going to be the best experience ever. and as so many have said, at the point when its bucketing down rain, and i look around myself and everyone is smiling, i will geel the love jesus has for me, and you who arent coming will feel pity amongst yourselves.
:) i CANT WAIT. i have been shopping for all my clothes and stuff to take especially for the pilgrimage walk, and for the sleepout under the stars.
and for all the negative comments, coming from jarred crouch himself are the words:
i dont know what everyone has against it, they close roads down all the time when games are on, and no one seems to mind, but as soon as the catholic hurch wants to d something evryones against it.
and listen up, if you are concerned about the money being spent on this event, they have spent 26million dollars, which, let me tell you is more than two times less that angelina jolie and brad pitts new house. and is only a quarter of the amount spnt on the olympics.
the whole point isnt to brainwash cathholics its to experience the hoy spirit and being with eachother and feeling this powerful over whelming spiritual feeling, that no one could ever experience wit out going to this event.
so stop protesting against it and trying to cause havoc, we should be complaining about you trouble makers not this event. there is no point in pushing negativity, because no matter what you do, the event is still going ahead, catholicism is LEADING and succeeding, and sydney is on our side.
god bless, and hope to see you there. :)
xx
ps, i am from sydney, and i dont see anything wrong with it.
