Do you buy mother day's card for your mother in law?
I use to send mother's day, birthday, etc. I sent 1 card from her son only and another from both of us. I was told that she was aware the gifts and cards came from me not her son, and if he was not going to buy the cards and gifts himself it did not count. That was the last time I bought her a card or gift. That was also the last time she received a gift.
Her son can't be bothered. What can I say, she raised him not me.
Reply:Hey you do sound a bit selfish there with the whole don't want to waste money on someone else's mom there. If she is your mother in law she is considered family and not only that its called "Kindness" even so a token of love might make things better between you and her and if it doesn't, still you did the right thing.
Speaking of which, I gotta try to get to the store to look around, Mothers Day is May 11th on a beautiful Sunday. lol
Peace,
mikael
Reply:I absolutely would if I still had the opportunity. My mother-in-law died when my baby was just 3 months old. He's now 16 years old. I love her so much. She was the greatest mother-in-law. She accepted my daughter (from my previous marriage) like she was her own grandchild. She was so sweet to me and my kids. There are all kinds of cards out there for mother-in-laws....some sentimental, some funny, some just in general, but if you love your mother-in-law like I did mine, you should definetly buy her a card and personalize it.
Reply:it depends. If you are particulary close to her to the point where you get along ok....but if you don't then she might just get upset and say you are trying to hard. I'd say definitely give her a call because that's courtesy but when it comes to a card it really depends on how well you get on with her and if she would send you a card.
Reply:I always buy things in pairs, one for mom and one for my MIL.
I am very close to my MIL and I call her Mom also. She spoils me and I try to return the favor.
Even if I didn't like her, I would still buy her something because she's my husband's mother! I would buy her something out of respect.
Reply:you married her son so she's you mother 2, my own mom been sick for 6 yr and she haven't spoken in 5yr and my mother- in- law been a real mother to me, if i could i buy her flowers everyday i would and i love her and she love me right back - you love her son love her 2 .. and she'll love you 2
Reply:hmmm...has she ever not liked u??? if she does like u %26amp; is nice 2 u its the good thing to do....especially b/c cards really arent that expensive...but if she doesnt like u thats even more of a reason to buy her one...suck-up usually prevail lol
Reply:Yep! Treat her equally as my own mom!! I believe we get treated how we treat others.
