Do I get my boyfriends mom something for mothers day?

I've been going out with my boyfriend for almost two years, and we have been "together" for almost 3 years. His mother always gets me something for EVERY holiday...if its a small holiday then she would give me like an envelope with some movie passes and a few gift cards in it...she is the sweetest lady in the world, but i dont know if i am supposed to buy her something for mothers day, because she is not MY mother, and i feel like if i did, then it would be inferring that i am her daughter or something. I could be totally wrong, but i dont really know. Do i get my boyfriends mother a gift for mothers day, or is that weird?? If i should, then what should i get her?

Certainly! They make cards for "like a mom." That would be sweet and maybe some flowers or something. Whatever she likes. You could even make her a photo album of you and her son!

I think it would be nice to get her a little something ( nothing to extravagant ) and a card , perhaps write a little note in the card something like . even though your not my mom , I just wanted to make this day a little more special for you , or maybe ....thank you for treating me like part of the family , happy mothers day .

Although Mother's Day does not necessarily have to be celebrating your own mother, I'm thinking you'd still be uncomfortable with the idea of giving your boyfriend's mother a gift in lieu of the holiday. But, if you feel better about doing it, I suggest flowers--unless she's allergic or something.
Reply:Get her a card and some flowers. Although she is not your mother, Mother's day is for all mothers, whether you are related or not. She will truly appreciate it.

Reply:Wow...she is so sweet...well, if you are already that close..maybe you could get her something on that day. but don't put happy mothers day on the card..cause, she's not your mother or mother in law (yet) =p ..just wrote something like, have a happy day today...or something...Just send her flowers or readl flowers on a pot...that will be sweet without over doing it... ^^
