I sent out some mothers day cards today and I just remembered I forgot to write the zip code on one of them, but I wrote the rest of the address including the town and state. Is it likely that it will still go to that town (its a small town) or is the zip code a necessity?
Will my letter still make it if I forgot to put the zip code?
It will get there just fine.
Reply:The automated sorting system will kick out your zip code less envelope and be sent for hand sorting. From there it should go to its intended destination. Sometimes it gets returned to the sender.
Generally it will take a few days longer than electronically sorted mail.
Reply:yes it will just take a little longer is all.
