Is it appropriate for me to give my boss a Mother's Day card?

I'm a Nanny.

Is it appropriate for me to give my boss a Mother's Day card?
Yes it is appropriate, and she will be happy you did. Mother's Day is for any one who is a mom. And you can give it one to any one who fits that title.
Reply:yes if the person is a mom it's a thing of respect. It doesn't matter who they are everyone likes to have someone think of them
Reply:thats a hard one, because ur a nanny, but no i don't think u should, i only give a mothers day card to my mother and my nan
Reply:Only if your boss treats you like one of her children! Now making sure that the children get her a card is fine--even if you have to pick it out and sign their names on it--for really small ones use some safe washable paint/ink and put their hand print or finger prints under their names too! She'll love it and thank you for the effort.
Reply:If you are close to your boss go ahead. I know I would be happy to receive a mothers day card from my colleagues. This shows her you know how great a mother she is.
Reply:First of all, it depends on how close you are... but I would say since youre a nanny and you watch her children you guys are close... Definately do it... She will appreciate it.
Reply:Why don't you have the children make her a card and help them. She's not your mother, but will appreciate the gesture of you helping her children make a card for her.

Or you could help the children make her breakfast in bed and run a nice bubble bath for her... she will know that you are making the gesture on the children's behalf.

Don't buy a card - when my son makes me something - its much more precious than a store bought item.
Reply:Huh. the girl who's avatar has the same hair as mine said the same thing I was going to say.

Yes, it depends on the closeness.

I'd say every mom loves a card from anybody, tho.

You can send me one, too, lol.
Reply:Is it from you or the baby?

From you - do you get on well?

From baby - yes
Reply:I think that it would be very appropriate and also appreciated. They have mother's day cards for brothers, dads, etc. I think that it would be a lovely gesture.
Reply:If she's not your mother, then don't get her a card. Now, if you want to help her kids pick one out, that would be totally appropriate.
Reply:is she your mom?
Reply:yea if u want to show ur appreation i think if u want go for it
Reply:The best thing for you to do in my opinion is to help the children make her a card and make it from you and the children. Remember that parents love little painted handprints.
