I want to do something different and more special other than the simple 'make her a card' deal. Any ideas? :)
Remember to keep it simple, im only thirteen!
What should I do for my Mom on Mothers Day?
all of the above ideas are great.
My daughter does maid service for a day- the day before mothers day she gets her sister and the really clean the house - vacuum sweep, dust, clean the bathroom- they get everything nice a sparkly. Then, on Mothers day she cooks dinner and cleans after dinner- last year she invited two other mothers from our church- they were able to leave their kids home with the dads and she served us dinner- it was very nice- I got to fellowship with friends without distraction and did not have to do any work- it was very thoughtful.
Get some nice pictues of yourself (and siblings if you have any) and the two of you together and make a nice scrapbook page for her
flowers are simple but always nice
Reply:Tell her that you love her and you appreciate everything that that she does for you. Way after Mothers Day has past, (if she's employed) have a nice bath waiting for her, dinner cooked and the house spotless............my mothers been missing (unsolved mystery) since 1990. I miss her dearly. Good luck with your decision, whatever you decide, your mother will be pleased.
Reply:Serve her breakfast in bed...That is a real treat for Moms. Then ask her what she wants to do for lunch.A picture of her kids in a frame is always nice to receive.Make sure you tell her that you love her.....
Reply:Get dressed up nicely and get a friend to take a cute picture of you (along with any siblings/pets that you have). Frame it nicely (buy a nice, simple frame or get a plain one and decorate it yourself). Moms always like kid photos.
Or, get her a gift certificate for the two of you to go to the movies. It won't cost more than $20, and she'll be touched that you want to hang out with her.
Last idea, get a gift certificate to go get your nails done together if either of you would enjoy it. Again, moms like to feel appreciated :)
Breakfast in bed with flowers and a card is nice, though....
Reply:Here's something creative that will be appreciated and you will have fun doing:
Make up a crossword puzzle and have all the hints be personal inside moments and jokes that only you two would know about. Put it on a poster board and add some clipart and some pictures to it!
The crossword puzzle could be time consuming and a bit frustrating ... you could do the same idea with a WORDSEARCH or WORDFIND puzzle.
Put your computer skills to work! Use Excel, get clipart from Yahoo Images Search, copy them, and reformat them, use a gluestick to put on posterboard.
Use graph paper, and pictures from magazines if you are not as good on the computer, and it will give it a homemade feeling.
This is a really beautiful poem too!
Women have strengths that amaze us.
They carry children, they carry hardships, they carry burdens but they hold happiness, love and joy.
They smile when they want to scream.
They sing when they want to cry.
They cry when they are happy and laugh when they are nervous.
They fight for what they believe in.
They stand up for injustice.
They don't take "no" for an answer when they believe there is a better solution.
They go without new shoes so their children can have them.
They go to the doctor with a frightened friend.
They love unconditionally.
They cry when their children excel and cheer when their friends get awards.
They are happy when they hear about a birth or a new marriage. Their hearts break when a friend dies.
They have sorrow at the loss of a family member, yet they are strong when they think there is no strength left.
They know that a hug and a kiss can heal a broken heart.
Women come in all sizes, in all colors and shapes.
They'll drive, fly, walk, run or e-mail you to show how much they care about you.
The heart of a woman is what makes the world spin!
Women do more than just give birth.
They bring joy and hope.
They give compassion and ideals.
They give moral support to their family and friends.
Women have a lot to say and a lot to give.

Reply:simple... wake up early...cooke her breakfast...deliver it to her bedroom with a flower and a card... then clean the house...
do those things, errands, chores that she usually tells you to do but you never had the time nor the inclination to do before...
Reply:Write her a letter about how much she means to you, and maybe a special moment that the two of you shared, thank her for all she's done for you. LOL You are so sweet to be thinking of your Mother this much ahead of time! I hope my kids grow up to be as respectable as you are, my dear!
