what are you getting for your mum on mothers day?

i am getting her flowers and i am going to make her a card with a pome in it i am writing the pome by my self.

What are you getting for your mum for mothers day?
Do you mean Poem? That sounds really nice.

Think I'll be getting flowers for my mum too. Either that, or treat her to lunch.
Reply:That's sweet, and thoughtful and your Mom will love it! I'm making my mom a dvd of photos of our family when we were young. It takes a while to scan them all in, and some of the photos are getting faded, so it will be a good way to preserve them, and also a fun way to view them all. Pretty background music...just trying to figure out what songs.
Reply:I don't know yet, it's only February. There will definitely be a card and some flowers but I don't know what else yet.
Reply:I have bought her favorite perfume that she can't get in the shops anymore. and maybe a garden center vouchers.

And a card
Reply:to start with a huge bunch of flowers a card and ummmm not sure yet i always get her something good maybe take her out for lunch
Reply:Nothing as it's just a commercial day - I don't need a special day to show my mother I appreciate her.
Reply:im getting her candles

also, its POEM, smart one

Reply:my mother is 86 and I`ve got chocolates flowers and grapes plus a card, and my love.
Reply:i made my mum up 2 little hampers full of goodies I know she'll enjoy....creams, toners etc....and a handmade card with a verse I wrote myself inside.

it's the personal touch that no shop could ever match and I think it really shows mums how much you care for them as you took the time and effort out to make something really original and one of a kind for them ;o)
Reply:I think I will buy her a nice card and send it to her in time because she's moved to France four months ago.....
Reply:I'm praying that heaven hasn't been completely re-organized. LOL

My Mother passed has away
Reply:Mothers day already? This must be from a foreigh country! (don't get upset: I lived in Sussex for three years)

Give her a special day - something she likes.
Reply:I'll stop off and pick up some flowers, just as I do every time I go to see her, because she likes flowers. And sort out a box of Maltesers, since on the last few occasions I have taken her different goodies. But there will be no card because I don't get a card every time I go to see her.

See, loving my mum is something I do day in and day out, and all day long, no matter where I am or where she is, and getting her stuff to make her days nicer is a way of life, not something to make a big deal about on just one day.

Really, all these "days" - Valentines, Mothers, Fathers - are cheap, tacky, commercial and in many ways downright shabby; they devalue the worth of others. I can understand anniversary and birthdays because they are people-specific. But the rest are all commercialised drivel.

My mum is my mum every day, all day long.

I don't need greedy, parasitic shopkeepers to tell me when to make an effort for her and when not to.
Reply:A card and some flowers
Reply:1) You can never go wrong with perfume -- all women just love to smell great. Not sure what to get her? Try J'adore; it's classified as a refreshing, flowery fragrance. This feminine scent possesses a blend of floral orchids, violets, roses, and blackberry musk.

2) Bowls, candle holders and crystal giftware are nice ways to give mother's home a fresh, trendy look.

3) Let mom pamper herself within the comfort of her own home and rival an authentic spa experience. The Home Spa Kit has everything a woman could want to revitalize herself. From bath fizz, moisturizer, exfoliator and more, the kit is the ideal gift to accentuate her youth-rendering needs and show her that you care.

4) Flowers are a symbol of life and beauty. Make your mother feel vibrant, full of life, beautiful, and incredibly special with a special bouquet of assorted flowers surrounded by generous portions of Baby's Breath.

5) A vintage watch is a nice way to show mother how much you appreciate the time spent with her. Besides, she'll remember your name every time she checks the time. And you know what that means? Selfish promotion.

6) Offering the gift of sparkle and shine always makes a woman feel appreciated - especially mother. Remember, diamonds are a girl's best friend - young and old.
