Or conversely, what about sending her father a card or chip in for a Father's Day gift next month?
Would you feel a bit uncomfortable if your daughter's fiance did this to you, or if your fiancee did this to your parents?
Our wedding is July.
Is it presumptuous or awkward to send my fiancee's mother a card or chip in for a Mother's Day gift?
It depends if the parents like you.
Have you actually met them?
If you get the feeling they do like you, send a card. It will show your soon-to-be-mother-in-law you are considerate and are anxious to become a part of the family.
If you get the feeling the parents do not know you very well, or may not like you, then just HELP your fiancee find and pay for a Mother's Day gift. It will seem considerate, but not too forward.
Reply:No, it should not be awkward. You are showing that you care and love his parents by doing this
Reply:With your wedding so close, heck no - I think it's a wonderful gesture! It will make her feel good.
Reply:I expect my fiance to get my mom at least a card. I do for his mother.
Reply:No, I think that is very sweet.
